Local Villager's participation in development of sustainable tourism: a case study of Khon and Don Det villages, Khong District, Champasak Province, to study the level of people's participation in the development of sustainable tourism in Khon and Don Det villages, Khong District, Champasak Province, and to study the relationship between the general information of the respondents and the level of public participation in the development of sustainable tourism, using a questionnaire with a total sample size of 216 households at Khone village 108 and Don Det village 108 households to conduct interviews face-to-face. Analyze using percentage and standard deviation (SD). Test individual factors for participation in practice with chi-square tests.
The results of the study found the level of people's participation in the development of sustainable tourism in Khon Village and Don Det Village, Khong District, Champasak Province. In many levels, the average value is equal to 3.61 and the SD value is 0.83. If we consider each aspect, it can be seen that the joint garden in benefiting has more average value than friends equal to 3.65 and SD value = 0.75, which can be seen from the number of tourists who travel to visit Tat Somphamit, and the number of tourist attractions in Khon and Don Det village has increased so that people can earn from tourist services, whether they are guesthouses, hotels, restaurants, piers, shuttle buses. and others, followed by participation in the implementation of the average value equal to 3.63 and value SD=0.94 in this aspect is not good and the people are still waiting for the implementation from the government, the participation in decision-making has an average value of 3.59 and SD-0.86. This aspect is still small, and the people have not yet dared to participate in the activities of the village in the development of tourism sites. The water is contaminated and pollutes the environment for both people and animals.
The analysis results from the Chi-Square Tests are effective, but the test results of the factor of the length of time living in the village to participate in the implementation found that there is a relationship at the statistical significance level of 0.05 with a test value of sig-0.044, showing that the length of time living in the village of the respondents has an effect on their participation in the implementation of the sustainable development
