Abstract

This research aim to determine the chemical composition of essential oil of Curcuma Longa Linn rhizome extracted by steam distillation in different periods: (3, 5, 7 and 9 hours) analyzed by Gas chromatography and Mass spectrometry GC/MS.This results showed that the identified 30substances, the substances with a high percentage are Zingiberene 23%, Ar-turmerone 17.45%, Eucalyptol 16%, these substances are a strong biological activity.
