Abstract

The purpose of this research is to (1) to study the causes that affect the dropout of junior high school students in Ba Chiang Charoen Souk district (2) to find ways to solve the problems of high school student dropout in Ba Chiang Charoen Suk district.
Conducting research between October 12, 2022 and May 31, 2023. The sample group used in the study consists of 52 students who drop out of school. The researcher conducted a survey to collect data with the school principal and distributed the survey to students who dropped out at home. To find statistical values such as percentages, mean and standard deviation (SD).
The results of the research found that: the causes that affect the dropout of middle school students in Ba Chiang Charoen Suk District, Champasak Province, in 5 aspects, it was found that the student aspect and the environment aspect in the place of education have the average value and the standard deviation value higher than their peers ( overline X = 3.29 ) ; (SD = 0, 60) and ( overline X = 3.29 ) ; (SD = 0.66) ranked in the middle level, followed by the teacher's aspect, the average value and the standard deviation value is ( overline X = 2.44 ) and (SD = 0, 64) is placed at a low level, the aspect with the average value and the standard deviation value is less than the others, is the social aspect ( overline X = 2.06 ) and (SD = 0.55) is placed at the low level.
