Abstract

The aims of this study were: 1) To investigate the problems and development the guideline for early childhood education in Pakse city and Bachiangchaleunsouk district, Champasak province; 2) To compare the teacher’s opinion on early childhood development based on teacher’s graduated field, teaching experience and the size of schools; 3) To improve the guideline and preschool development. This study was conducted with a total of 159 samples which included 53 administrative staffs and 106 teachers. The research tools were the questionnaire forms with the Standard Deviation: (S.D) based on the issues of preschool education development situation of administrative staff’s opinion and teachers were 0.85 and 0.75, respectively. The samples were analyzed by using the statistic program and the values were Percentage, Arithmetic mean: ( ) and S.D.

The results:

  1. The opinion of Administrative staffs and teachers in general showed that the preschool education development in Pakse city and Bachiangchaleunsouk district, Champasak province was in average value and other related issues were also in average value.
  2. The opinion of Administrative staffs and teachers on the graduated field, teaching experience and the size of schools in 5 scopes, the result showed that no significant.
  3. The improving guidelines and development for preschool education systems in case of Pakse city and Bachiangchaleunsouk district, Champasak province in 5 scopes as: 1) Using curriculum, 2) Learning activities to promote the development skill and learning of children, 3) Learning activities to promote the development skill and learning of children, 4) The valuation on learning activities of the children, 5) The correlation between family and school showed some issues needs to improve and develop for the early childhood education in Pakse city and Bachiangchaleunsouk district, Champasak province.
