Motivation and Operational Effectiveness of the Academic Staff of Champasak University

This study studied the work motivation and effectiveness of the academic staff of Champasak University, the purpose of this study is 1) to study the level of opinions of academic staff regarding the motivation and effectiveness of the work.

Abstract

This study studied the work motivation and effectiveness of the academic staff of Champasak University, the purpose of this study is 1) to study the level of opinions of academic staff regarding the motivation and effectiveness of the work. 2) to compare the opinions of young, middle-aged and senior academic staff towards the motivation and effectiveness of the academic staff.  3) to study the relationship between the motivation and the effectiveness of the academic staff, The population studied in this study is 345 people, the number of sample groups using the Krejcie & Morgan (1970) formula is equal to 182 people and the instrument used is a questionnaire.

          The results of the study of the level of opinion of technical staff to work motivation and effectiveness in operation. In terms of motivation, from the analysis of motivation in the operation of technical staff, it is seen that there are opinions at many levels, in which there are more opinions than tho se regarding social status at many levels. Regarding the effectiveness of the technical staff's operation, it was found that there are many opinions in which there are more opinions than others in terms of thinking, attitude and moral qualities. The results of the one-way regression analysis show that the opinions of people in the three different age groups are not different in terms of work motivation at the level of statistical significance at 0.05 and it is seen that the opinions of people in different age groups in all 3 groups are different in the effectiveness of the operation at the level of statistical significance at 0.05. There is a difference between the age of 45 years old and the age younger than 34 years. There are different opinions in the effectiveness of the operation at the level of statistical significance at 0.05. Pearson Correlation Coefficient analysis results to see the relationship between all work motivation and work effectiveness from the opinions of academic staff in Champasak University found that there is a high, significant and positive relationship (r=.783, p=0.000, p<0.01). To see the relationship between social status motivation and work effectiveness from the opinion of academic staff in Champasak University found that there is a high, significant and positive relationship (r=0.568, p=0.000, p<0.01).
