The purpose of this research is 1) to study the use of information technology in the performance of personnel at Champasak Vocational Technical College and Pakse Teacher Training College 2) to study the factors of technology use by personnel of both universities that affect the performance of work 3) to test the relationship between the use of technology, educational qualification factors, position and work experience with the performance of personnel at Champasak Vocational Technical College and Pakse Teacher Training College 4) to study Opinions on ways to improve the use of technology to improve performance. The sample group used in the research according to the sample size calculation formula of Taro Yamane (Taro Yamane) is 172 people. The tool used in this research is a questionnaire. The analysis uses descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) and reference statistics; Pearson Correlation coefficient.
The results of the study found that:
1) The frequency of using information technology in the operation of the sample group of personnel is occasional, the goal of use is to increase the efficiency of work performance and to increase the efficiency of teaching and learning and to access information sources, ICT devices that are used mainly face-to-face computers and telephones. For the type of technology program used is Micro Softs operation system. Followed by online media (Social Medias). For the type of internet that personnel use is Tata Mobile (Mobile Data). Next is the WiFi of the school (School-Wifi) Also, the level of ability to use technology in the implementation of the work of most personnel is at a good to moderate level. The problem of use is moderate and insufficient response to technology, including technical limitations in the use of ICT.
2) Technology use factor found: social influence factor is the main factor that makes personnel use information technology in the performance of work, followed by technology use expectation factor and the last rank is the technology use factor from the convenience situation.
3) The relationship between technology usage factors, educational qualification factors, position and work experience and the efficiency of the work performance of the personnel found to have a static correlation at the level of 0.01 and 0.05 according to the average value of each indicator, except for the secondary education and the efficiency of the work performance is not statistically related.
4) The opinion of the personnel suggests that both universities develop the ability to use ICT for the staff to understand in depth as well as introduce the ICT system to be used in the administration and teaching-learning system to be diverse, consistent, correct and appropriate.
